Privacy Policy
Ash Ryben Consulting Inc. ("we", "us") provides financial analysis and strategy to business owners. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Short version: we collect what you give us to do the work, we don't sell it, we don't run ad trackers, and you can ask us to delete it.
1. What we collect
Information you give us
- Book-a-call form: name, email, phone, franchise brand, and the issue you describe.
- Assessment intake: contact details and the financial information you enter: income, credit score and history as you report it, account balances, retirement balances, business financials, property details, and a schedule of your debts. You choose what to enter; the more complete it is, the better the analysis.
- Documents you send us by email or secure link during an engagement (statements, tax returns, loan agreements).
- Credit reports, only if you sign a separate written authorization. We do not obtain credit reports from the intake form.
Information collected automatically
- Draft autosave: the intake page stores your in-progress answers in your own browser's local storage so you can come back later. That data stays on your device; it is not transmitted until you submit, and you can clear it with the "Clear draft" button.
- Hosting logs: our host, Netlify, records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and operations.
- Fonts: pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address and browser information when a page loads. No other third-party scripts, analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies run on this site.
2. How we use it
- To respond to your call request and schedule a conversation.
- To prepare your financial assessment, workbook, and recommendations.
- To carry out an execution engagement you've asked for, including sharing information with lenders, attorneys, or accountants only on your written instruction.
- To send you the deliverables and follow up about your engagement.
- To meet legal, accounting, and record-keeping obligations.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or trade it.
3. Who sees it
- Brad Bunin, principal of Ash Ryben Consulting Inc., who performs the analysis.
- Service providers that process data on our behalf: Netlify (hosting and form delivery), our email provider, and AI-assisted analysis tools used to build the assessment workbook. These providers are bound to use your data only to provide their service to us. Submitted intake data is transmitted to us through Netlify Forms and stored in our business email and files.
- The franchisor: if you were referred by your franchisor, we may confirm to them that you engaged us. We do not share your financial information, your assessment, or its conclusions with the franchisor or any other franchisee without your written consent.
- Lenders and professionals you direct us to work with, limited to what that work requires.
- Law: if required by subpoena, court order, or applicable law.
4. How long we keep it
Call requests: up to 12 months. Assessment and engagement files: for the duration of the engagement and 7 years after, consistent with business record-keeping practice, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. We honor deletion requests except where we must retain a record by law or to document services already rendered.
5. Your choices and rights
- You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email brad@ashrybenconsulting.com; we respond within 30 days.
- You can withdraw any authorization (for example, a credit-pull authorization or permission to share with a lender) at any time going forward.
- California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of sale (we don't sell personal information) and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Residents of other states with privacy laws have comparable rights; use the same email.
6. Security
Pages are served over HTTPS. Intake submissions are transmitted encrypted to Netlify and delivered to our business email. We use access controls and multi-factor authentication on the accounts that hold client files. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and the intake form is not the place for account numbers, Social Security numbers, or passwords; it doesn't ask for them and you shouldn't add them.
7. Children
This site and service are for business owners. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
8. Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the effective date above. Material changes affecting an active engagement will be communicated directly.
